Where is Rive?
On a bend of the Seine in Muids, between Vernon and Les Andelys, under 100 km from Paris. Close enough to leave on Friday after work, far enough to forget the city by Saturday morning.
This is Impressionist country. In the late 19th century, these riverbanks drew Monet, Renoir, Sisley and Caillebotte: light on the water, long lunches, gardens that change with the seasons. The house was designed in that spirit. Light, freedom, and the river as a permanent backdrop.
What are the bedrooms like?
Seven bedrooms from 20 to 28 sqm, each with its own bathroom. Queen or king beds (two convertible to twins), two rooms with a bathtub, one with two extra kids' beds. Hotel-grade bedding throughout. Some rooms are bigger. Some are everyone's favourite. None of them is "the one at the back".
What is there to do?
Everything. Or nothing. Both work.
- Mornings: a run along the Seine, a few laps in the pool, breakfast already on the table.
