These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter the “GTCS”) govern reservations made on the website and booking engine operated by SIDE COLLECTION,
a simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with a share capital of €4 175 617,
registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 943 718 932,
VAT number FR57943718932,
with its registered office c/o Iconic Collection, 32 avenue de Saint-Mandé, 75012 Paris,
(hereinafter “Side Collection” or the “Host”).
The purpose of these GTCS is to define the rights and obligations of the parties in connection with the sale of serviced accommodation stays offered by Side Collection, including lodging and all related services described on the Host’s website.
Stays offered by Side Collection provide access to premium houses and serviced accommodation, including lodging, daily housekeeping, breakfast, and private access to facilities and amenities.
A complete, detailed, and up-to-date description of the services, equipment, features, and amenities of each house is available on the dedicated website page:
👉 https://www.side.house/maison (or the exact URL of the booking engine).
This page forms an integral part of the reservation contract.
By confirming a reservation, the guest acknowledges having read and understood the characteristics of the property and services as described on the website at the time of booking.
Reservations are made exclusively online through Side Collection’s secure booking engine.
Depending on the payment method selected at the time of booking:
Until the applicable deadline, the guest has a reflection period during which they may cancel free of charge, in accordance with the cancellation policy in Article 8.
The reservation confirmation sent by email acknowledges receipt of the request but does not constitute a final commitment before the charge or the receipt of funds, depending on the payment method.
Payment by the guest themselves. Payment must be made by the guest who holds the reservation, using a payment instrument (card or bank account) in their own name. Payments issued by a third party are not accepted, except with the prior written agreement of the Host and subject to any verification the Host deems necessary. The Host reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or return any payment whose origin cannot be attributed to the guest holding the reservation, without incurring any liability. Any refund is issued to the account from which the original payment was made.
Rates may fluctuate, but the amount applied is the one in effect at the time of booking.
No refund will be issued in the event of a price reduction after the reservation.
The Guest undertakes to declare, no later than prior to arrival, the exact number of persons staying in the property for the entire duration of the booking.
Any change in the number of guests must be communicated to the Owner before check-in. The Owner reserves the right to refuse access to the property or to adjust the booking in the event of an inaccurate or incomplete declaration.
All displayed prices are inclusive of all taxes (VAT included), excluding the tourist tax (taxe de séjour), which is payable by guests in accordance with applicable local regulations.
The tourist tax is calculated based on the actual number of guests and the number of nights stayed, and is payable at check-in (or, failing that, invoiced separately).
Any omission or misrepresentation regarding the number of guests may result in additional charges, including the outstanding tourist tax and, where applicable, any supplementary fees provided for under these General Terms and Conditions.
To cover potential damage or breaches, a €2,000 bank pre-authorization will be taken 2 days prior to arrival.
This pre-authorization:
In case of damage or incidents, the Host may partially or fully debit the amount required for repairs, after informing the guest.
The guest undertakes to provide a valid means of payment for this pre-authorization no later than upon arrival. If the pre-authorization cannot be obtained or is refused, the Host reserves the right to refuse or suspend access to the property until a valid security deposit has been provided.
If, for any reason, the pre-authorization was not obtained prior to arrival, the Host may request it at any time during the stay, and the guest undertakes to comply. The provision of a valid security deposit is a condition of the stay.
The guest is responsible for the property, its furniture, equipment, and amenities throughout the duration of the stay, and undertakes to use them with care and in accordance with their intended purpose.
The guest shall be liable for any damage, deterioration, breakage, loss, or theft affecting the property or its contents occurring during the stay, except for normal wear and tear. The guest undertakes to reimburse Side Collection for the full cost of repair, replacement, or restoration, including where such cost exceeds the amount of the security deposit, upon presentation of supporting documentation (such as quotes, invoices, or photographs).
Daily housekeeping is provided for up to 3 hours each morning. Any additional housekeeping time required due to an abnormal level of soiling or disorder beyond ordinary use will be invoiced to the guest at the applicable hourly staff rate.
Any amounts due under this Article that are not covered by the capture of the security deposit will be invoiced to the guest and payable within 14 days of the invoice date.
Free cancellation:
You may cancel your reservation free of charge within 48 hours of booking.
Modification:
After this 48-hour period, you may modify your stay (dates or house) up to 30 days before arrival, subject to a €500 fee.
Arrival in less than 30 days:
The reservation becomes non-cancellable and non-modifiable.
Side Collection will relist your dates and attempt to rebook the stay.
If the stay is fully or partially rebooked, you will be refunded the corresponding amount.
Long stays:
For stays of 15 nights or more, the cancellation/modification deadline is extended to 60 days before arrival.
Transfer of stay:
You may transfer or resell your stay, subject to notifying the Side House team and communicating the name of the new guest.
Refunds:
All refunds are issued to the original payment method used at booking.
By confirming your reservation, you acknowledge having read and accepted this cancellation policy.
Stays are intended for both private guests (leisure, holidays) and corporate guests (seminars, retreats, executive committees).
House rules are provided on-site and must be strictly followed.
Any behavior contrary to the law, public order, decency, or likely to disturb neighbors may result in immediate termination of the stay without refund.
Side Collection declines all liability in case of loss, theft, or damage to guests’ personal belongings.
Use of the facilities (pool, sauna, dock, bicycles, etc.) is entirely at the guests’ own risk.
Parents must supervise their children around all facilities.
In the event of a force majeure incident (natural disaster, fire, widespread power outage, epidemic, administrative decision, etc.) rendering the stay impossible, amounts paid may be postponed or refunded, as applicable, without additional compensation.
In accordance with Articles L.611-42 and R.611-42 of the French Code on the Entry and Stay of Foreigners and the Right of Asylum, implementing Article 45 of the Convention Implementing the Schengen Agreement, every guest of foreign nationality — whether or not a citizen of the European Union — is required to complete and sign an individual police record upon arrival.
The information collected for this purpose is: surname and given names, date and place of birth, nationality, usual home address, mobile phone number and email address, and the expected arrival and departure dates. Children under the age of 15 may be listed on the record of an accompanying adult.
The guest undertakes to provide this information accurately and completely at check-in (or, where applicable, during the online pre-check-in process). Failing this, the Host reserves the right to delay or refuse access to the property.
These records are kept for a period of six (6) months and may only be disclosed to the police and gendarmerie services, upon their request, solely for the purposes of preventing breaches of public order, judicial investigations, and searches conducted in the interest of persons. Their processing is otherwise subject to the personal data provisions set out in Article 14.
Information collected during booking is processed in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
It is used solely for reservation management and customer relations.
Guests have rights of access, rectification, and deletion of their data by writing to: contact@side.house.
These GTCS are governed by French law.
Any dispute relating to their interpretation or execution falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts where Side Collection’s registered office is located, unless mandatory legal provisions provide otherwise.
Booking a stay implies full and unconditional acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
The guest’s acceptance of these GTCS is recorded electronically at the time of booking, together with the date, time, and the version of the GTCS accepted. This record constitutes proof of acceptance between the parties.
